Orlov recalled feeling miserable and unloved in her own marriage. The past couple of days he has been going through a rough spell. We both really like each other and want to take things nice and slow before going into a relationship and if we go into a relationship, but I can’t help but wonder if two people with PTSD is a bad idea…We both have nightmares, flashbacks, physical contact issues and intimacy issues, which could either be a very bad thing or a very good thing.Research has shown that a person with ADHD may be almost twice as likely to get divorced, and relationships with one or two people with the disorder often become dysfunctional.*While ADHD can ruin relationships, the good news is that both partners are not powerless.Me and a guy that I have been getting close to (slowly) both have PTSD.We aren’t in a relationship yet, because we are taking things nice and slow, which is what we both need.
And I also wonder if we would be a constant reminder to each other of our pasts.
They both may also suffer health problems due to this extremely high level of stress.
I salute any relationship that is managing to survive PTSD!
